Zygor Guides vs. Joana Horde Leveling Guide
Zygor Guides and Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide are pretty much looked upon as the pinnacle of World of Warcraft Guides these days. But out of the two which one should the Wow player choose? There has to be points which separate them and make one better than the other. The best thing one could do is to do a little comparison on some of the basic features, so let’s get to it.
The two guides here offer an amazing level of detail and explanation. They also deliver it via blisteringly fast leveling routes. But with Joana’s guide it was developed using a Hunter. This may not seem like anything to be concerned about, but to be honest if you are looking to replicate the leveling speed of Joana then you are forced to roll a hunter. The guide does not really give consideration to other classes within the game.
Now with Zygor Guides this isn’t a concern, since the author John Cook perfected his leveling path and ensured that any class within Wow could complete it, at stunning speeds. To add to this with Zygors you have coverage of every single race within the game. This is unique to Zygor Guides and means that every starter area within the game is covered and gelled into the guide. So if you choose to be a Dwarf Paladin, the guide adjusts and includes all the best quests to take in Dun Morogh, starter area.
Zygor Guides has proven itself to be arguably the fastest leveling guide out there to date and was one of th every first to use a 100% in game addon. This meant that the Cheap Alli guide would operate solely within your game screen as you play. No more alt-tabbing out to read a PDF Ebook, it basically set the bar much higher and saved the player hours of wasted time out of the game. Now however Joana’s Horde Guide has included a similar addon, but does it perform to the same standards as Zygor’s. Well unfortunatley it does’nt. With Zygors In game guide you don’t have to update it or move it along. It tracks you as you play and knows when a certain step / quest has been completed and updates automatically, never requiring you to do anything but read and follow. Joana’s in game mod, requires you to actively update the guide by pressing a “next step” button. It does’nt recall your position if turned off or up dates automatically on the fly.
Sadly when it comes to Joana’s Horde Guide, as is mentioned in the name, it is solely reserved for the horde faction. There is no Joana Guide for the Alliance, where as Zygor Guides supplies coverage of both.
Here though we have a clincher that where to be honest, no guide can hold a candle to Zygors. This is concerning the class quests. No other guide out there incorporates the relevant class quests for every single class in Wow. This is so important, since class quests play a major role in the development of your character, yet Zygor Guides slots them in, even though including them into an in-game guide is a massive task within itself.
You have to be the one to choose which guide will serve you the best. You are the player and will be the one using it. Both guides have strong points but Zygor Guides 1-80 Alliance and Horde Leveling Guide seem as yet to go unchallenged.
