Tying an Albright Knot

If you have two pieces of filament that are of different sizes and you need to join them together, you want them to be strong once they are connected. The solution to this is the Albright knot. This knot is created by sliding the thinner of the two lines through the thicker one. The Albright knot when properly crafted will ensure that they stay firmly joined. Now you can trim the ends and your Albright knot is ready to be used on your favorite reel.brbrWhen you are wrapping your line, take your time. Make sure that it is wrapped as neatly as possible. Not only will a neat knot be much stronger, but if you are sloppy in the creation of your knot, you will find that it may hang up in your guides or make your reel perform poorly.
